Over 470 professionals registered for the initial Vancouver edition of the A “Tasting Of Wines From Italy” 2023 event series and, notwithstanding a steady rain, a good part actually showed up! They were met by 34 Italian winemakers. The show was back in Vancouver after five years of absence and took place on October 24, filling some spacious rooms at the Terminal City club. As the other events in the series, it featured walk around tastings and interactions with producers and/or their agents.
The renowned Italian wine tasting series of events is reserved to trade professionals and is organized by the Italian Trade Commission (ITC) offices in Canada. It then headed to Calgary at the Brownstone on October 26 and will continue in Toronto at the Roy Thomson Hall on October 30, to end in Montréal at the Marché Bonsecours on November 1. Over the years the show has become the most anticipated and accredited Italian wine event in Canada and a main one for the Canadian industry as a whole.
Overall, more than 3,500 wine agents, representatives from provincial Liquor Boards, Ho.Re.Ca. specialized media, opinion leaders, wine collectors and other specialized participants are expected at the four events.
