On the occasion of the Fencing Word Cup taking place in Vancouver (December 8-11, 2022) the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver and ARPICO (Society of Italian Researchers & Professionals in Western Canada) present a conference lecture followed by a cocktail reception.
The talk “Fuelling for Optimal Health and Performance” by Professor Emma McCrudden (UBC) will explore nutrition and what we can learn from high-performance athletes, as well as the principles and the role of the Mediterranean diet. The speaker will then take part in a panel discussion including épée world cup Italian team member and former world champion, Ms. Rossella Fiamingo, and the team’s head coach, Mr. Dario Chiadò.Mediterranean refreshments will follow.
This event is part of the “La Bellezza in un Gesto” (“Beauty in an Act”) project, originated thanks to an agreement between the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Fencing Federation in the broader context of promoting the image of Italy abroad through the sport of fencing.
