A new initiative led by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, the Italian Trade Agency ICE and the associations of chambers of commerce Unioncamere and Assocamerestero.
Thanks to a special Memorandum, these Italian government entities have established the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World to highlight the richness of the national culinary tradition in its many regional and cultural diversity.
The first annual “Week” features over 1,300 events, taking place all over the world from November 21 to 27, 2016.
In Vancouver, the Consulate General of Italy, in collaboration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada West, the Italian Cultural Centre, the Vancouver Community College, Amici Miei, Bibo Pizzeria, Italian Kitchen, the Associazione Professionale Cuochi Italiani del Canada (APCI), and the Associazione Italiana Consorzi Indicazione Geografica (AICIG), present a number of events related to the Italian culinary tradition:
