Provision of grants for private entities. Maintenance of international peace and security and implementation of humanitarian initiatives and protection of human rights.

To enable Italian participation in international peace and humanitarian initiatives, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is authorized, pursuant to Article 23-ter, paragraph 2, of Presidential Decree 18/1967, to provide contributions to initiatives proposed by Italian and foreign private entities, through a public procedure and in compliance with the principles of transparency and equal treatment.

For the allocation of the relevant contributions, based on the resources allocated for 2025 by the resolutions adopted by the Council of Ministers on February 19, 2025, whose approval process pursuant to Law 145/2016 is still ongoing, the Directorate General for Global Affairs (DGMO), the Directorate General for Political and Security Affairs (DGAP), and the Directorate General for Europe and International Trade Policy (DGUE) have prepared the Public Notices for the disbursement of the contributions in question. These notices have been published on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MAECI) at the following page: Avviso di pubblicità per contributi a soggetti privati per finalità di mantenimento della pace e della sicurezza internazionale e di attuazione di iniziative umanitarie e di tutela dei diritti umani – Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale

With regard to the procedures for submitting applications, Article 4 of the Notices establishes that, for entities with legal headquarters in non-EU countries, the application must be submitted exclusively through the territorially competent Italian Diplomatic Representation. In place of the substitute declaration of certification, as per the model attached to the Notices, such entities must provide appropriate documentation proving the existence of the required eligibility criteria, equivalent according to the legislation of their home country and legalized by the territorially competent Italian Diplomatic Representation. Furthermore, for the purposes of complying with the final deadlines set out in the Notices (September 5, 2025, for the DGAP Notice; September 13, 2025, for the DGMO Notice; and September 30, 2025, for the DGUE Notice), the date of receipt stamped by the Diplomatic Representation will be considered the official submission date.
