{"id":827,"date":"2021-06-08T20:39:14","date_gmt":"2021-06-08T18:39:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consvancouver.esteri.it\/news\/dal_consolato\/2021\/06\/ingresso-in-italia-dal-canada-e-2\/"},"modified":"2021-06-08T20:39:14","modified_gmt":"2021-06-08T18:39:14","slug":"ingresso-in-italia-dal-canada-e-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consvancouver.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2021\/06\/ingresso-in-italia-dal-canada-e-2\/","title":{"rendered":"ENTRY TO ITALY FROM CANADA AND COVID-TESTED FLIGHTS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Orders issued by the Italian Health Ministry related to travel to\/from abroad\u00a0(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/eli\/gu\/2021\/05\/14\/114\/sg\/pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GU Serie Generale n.114 del 14-05-2021<\/a>)\u00a0and to \u201cCovid-tested\u201d flights (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/eli\/gu\/2021\/05\/15\/115\/sg\/pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">GU Serie Generale n.115 del 15-05-2021<\/a>),\u00a0effective from Sunday, May 16th, envisage the following updates regarding entering Italy from Canada:<\/p>\n<p>Canada no longer belongs to \u201cGroup E\u201d group of Countries, and is now part of \u201cGroup D\u201d which includes Countries from which <strong>entry to Italy is permitted without the need for a specific reason;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>If entry to Italy from Canada occurs via \u201cCovid-tested\u201d flights, passengers are not required to follow quarantine restrictions;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>People departing Canada on \u201cCovid-tested\u201d flights are required to present to the carrier and to dedicated staff members, upon boarding, a certification attesting to the negative result of a molecular test (RT PCR) or antigenic test, carried out by means of a swab, no more than 48 hours prior to boarding. Upon arrival in Italy, at the airport, passengers are required to submit a molecular (RT PCR) or antigenic swab test;<\/p>\n<p>Beginning in July, Air Canda will introduce direct flights to the Rome Fiumicino airport from the Montreal Pierre-Elliott Trudeau and the Toronto Pearson airports.
