{"id":3768,"date":"2025-03-31T12:03:53","date_gmt":"2025-03-31T19:03:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consvancouver.esteri.it\/?p=3768"},"modified":"2025-03-31T12:16:32","modified_gmt":"2025-03-31T19:16:32","slug":"citizenship-by-descent-decree-law-no-36-2025-appointments-temporarily-suspended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/consvancouver.esteri.it\/en\/news\/dal_consolato\/2025\/03\/citizenship-by-descent-decree-law-no-36-2025-appointments-temporarily-suspended\/","title":{"rendered":"CITIZENSHIP BY DESCENT: Decree Law no. 36\/2025 \u2013 Appointments temporarily suspended"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p class=\"null\"><span class=\"null1\">Following the approval by the Italian Council of Ministers, on March 28, 2025, of Decree Law no. 36\/2025 regarding citizenship by descent, in compliance with specific instructions of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it is necessary to <b><u>suspend the calendar of appointments for citizenship by descent<\/u><\/b><u>.<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n<p>For further information concerning the decisions adopted by the Council of Ministers: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.esteri.it\/en\/sala_stampa\/archivionotizie\/comunicati\/2025\/03\/il-consiglio-dei-ministri-approva-modifiche-alla-legge-sulla-cittadinanza-ius-sanguinis\/\">Council of Ministers approves amendments to the \u201cius sanguinis\u201d citizenship law \u2013 Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"null\"><span class=\"null1\">Decree Law no. 36\/2025 is now available in the Official Gazette (Italian only): <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gazzettaufficiale.it\/eli\/id\/2025\/03\/28\/25G00049\/sg\">Gazzetta Ufficiale<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"null\"><span class=\"null1\">As of March 28<b>, and until further notice, the calendar of appointments on the Prenot@mi portal is no longer available<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"null\"><span class=\"null1\"><b>All scheduled appointments have been suspended.<br \/>\n<\/b>Email notification regarding the <\/span><span class=\"null1\">suspension has been sent to all applicants with scheduled appointments.
