The\u00a0Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong>\u00a0announces the\u00a0sixth edition<\/strong>\u00a0of the awards \u201cItalian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cThe innovation that speaks Italian<\/strong>\u201d and the second edition of the award \u201cScience, she Says<\/strong>!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cItalian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award<\/strong>\u201d recognizes the work of an\u00a0Italian scientist who has remarkably contributed to the advancement of science and technology<\/strong>\u00a0(S&T)\u00a0while performing his\/her research abroad <\/strong>and the call is addressed to researchers under 35 years old<\/strong>. The Award Committee, chaired by the Head of Office IX of the Directorate General for Country Promotion at MAECI, will be composed by the Presidents and\/or Representatives of the major Italian Research and Academic Institutions.<\/p>\n

The \u201cInnovation that speaks Italian<\/strong>\u201d Award, in its sixth edition, is a recognition of the\u00a0innovative value of technological start-ups operating abroad and founded by Italian citizens<\/strong>.\u00a0The call for applications is open to Italian Startup founders operating for at least 5 years in Canada.<\/strong>\u00a0A Technical Committee coordinated by PNI Cube will examine the applications. The final selection, which will identify the winner, will be made in Italy by a technical committee consisting of investors, entrepreneurs and experts, representing PNICube as well as representatives of the MAECI.<\/p>\n

\u201cScience, She Says!<\/strong>\u201d at its second edition, aims to recognize an\u00a0outstanding junior female scientist<\/strong>\u00a0who has remarkably\u00a0contributed to the advancement of science and technology<\/strong>,\u00a0while performing her research in North America<\/strong>. Italian researchers are not eligible for this prize. All fields of science and technology will be considered. The nominee should be resident in the country where she is nominated for the award, at least since January 1st<\/sup>\u00a02019. The age limit is up to 40 years old at the time of publication of this notice. The nomination should be submitted by an eminent scientist who is holding a leading position in a Scientific Academy, University, Research Institute or S&T Department of the Government of Canada in which the nominee is working. Self-nominations are not eligible, nor are nominations from immediate family members.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Award Committee<\/strong>, chaired by the Head of Office IX of the Directorate General for Cultural and Economic Promotion and Innovation of MAECI,\u00a0will be composed by the Presidents and\/or Representatives of the major Italian Research and Academic Institutions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Award ceremony<\/strong>\u00a0is scheduled for the\u00a0next edition of the Conference of Scientific Attach\u00e9s, which will take place in 2024 in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
