Requests for the purchase and supply of books and teaching materials for foreign schools and universities to support the teaching of the Italian language

dsadsa

Public, state, or legally recognized educational institutions and/or universities may submit requests for the purchase of books and teaching materials. Requests from entities not falling within the above categories will not be considered. Requests must be submitted using the attached Form A – 2026.xlsx, ensuring that every field is completed.

It is recommended that the correct ISBN be entered, as otherwise the requested books may not be found. Requests prepared in this manner must be submitted to the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver, both in PDF format (with the signature of the legal representative and stamp of the requesting institution) and in Excel format.

Compatibly with the financial resources available in the relevant budget, the allocation criteria will give priority to requests for teaching materials:

a) Requests from priority countries; in this case, from: the Balkans, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, the Caucasus countries, and South America;

b) requests from countries where it is difficult to find the material in question locally and/or which are characterized by unfavorable economic conditions;

c) reasoned opinions expressed by the Offices on situations of particular interest for the support of Italian language teaching abroad, such as agreements with local authorities for the inclusion of Italian in school curricula, or events of particular importance for the dissemination of our language abroad;

d) requests from schools or universities that did not receive teaching materials in the previous financial year (principle of rotation).

Please give preference to books and/or teaching materials published in the last three years.

DEADLINE: please send your request, accompanied by the attached form, by 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 2, 2026, to the email address education.vancouver@esteri.it
