What Does Canada Really Look Like from Coast to Coast?
What does it truly mean to experience Canada beyond maps, headlines, and stereotypes? Join writers and cultural observers Arianna Dagnino and Stefano Gulmanelli for a compelling illustrated talk that brings Canada to life through stories, images, and lived encounters gathered on the road.
Inspired by their extraordinary 75-day, 21,000-kilometre journey across the country, this event offers a vivid, human portrait of contemporary Canada—one shaped not by distance, but by dialogue. Along the way, Dagnino and Gulmanelli met with artists, farmers, newcomers, Elders, thinkers, and community leaders, listening to the voices that define Canada’s past, present, and emerging future.

Stories from the Road
Drawing from their bilingual Substack project, Canadiensis. Letters from Canada, the speakers weave together personal reflections, photography, and reportage to reveal a rich mosaic of Canadian life. Their illustrated talk explores questions of identity, belonging, creativity, and coexistence, offering fresh perspectives on a country often defined by its vastness, but best understood through its people. This event invites audiences to reflect on Canada as a living, evolving story—told through encounters that cross geography, language, and culture.
