The Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver is pleased to promote the Western Canadian premiere of CCN/Aterballetto, Italy’s leading contemporary dance company, which will perform in Victoria on February 6 and 7 at 7:30 pm at the Royal Theatre.
The event is presented by Dance Victoria, in collaboration with the Istituto Italiano di Cultura Toronto, and represents an important opportunity to showcase Italian choreographic creativity within the international cultural landscape.

The evening’s program features three works of significant artistic value by internationally renowned choreographers:

Rhapsody in Blue, choreographed by Iratxe Ansa and Igor Bacovich, a large-scale ensemble work set to the music of George Gershwin;

Solo Echo, by Crystal Pite, an intense and poetic creation exploring themes of time, loss, and acceptance;

Glory Hall, by Diego Tortelli, a powerful and energetic work of strong expressive impact.
Through this multifaceted program, CCN/Aterballetto reaffirms its role as a center of excellence in Italian contemporary dance and as a cultural ambassador of Italy abroad.
